Membership

Foundation Membership

Foundation membership is usually awarded to our first members in each state / country.  Foundation membership carries the highest level of membership privileges to reflect the higher level of responsibility we place on our foundation members.  Foundation members also have greater prominence on our website to acknowledge the contribution that they have made in helping to found and develop Auto Professionals Australia.  Foundation membership is by invitation only.

Graded Membership

After a qualifying period, members may apply to be assessed and graded based on, among other criteria, their time and experience in the industry, their qualifications, their customer service record and initiatives, their results in their chosen field and their contributions to APA, its resources and philosophy.  Graded membership is available to members who have been standard members for a minimum of twelve months.  Generally, members are unable to apply for their next consecutive grade until they have completed twelve months in their current grade, during which time they must have fulfilled the requirements for the subsequent grade.

Graded memberships rank from 1 (lowest) to 5 (highest).

Standard Membership

Standard membership is available to any automotive industry sales or marketing professional who is currently employed in the motor industry by a manufacturer or dealership and is actively seeking to improve his / her skills, knowledge and ability in an ethical and sustainable manner.  Membership is subject to APA approval and new members must be nominated by an existing member.

Affiliate Membership

Affiliate membership is available at the APA’s discretion to people who are actively seeking to join the industry.  Upon their commencement of employment in the industry, affiliate members are automatically offered Standard Membership.  In the mean time, they are able to access a selection of APA resources to prepare them for the commencement of their career.  Candidates for affiliate membership must be nominated by a current APA member or by one of APA’s Automotive employment associates.
